The following information
on roll-cages, outriggers, mountings, seat-belts etc. represents minimum
specifications which may be added to as required.

4.2. These two plan-view drawings show:-
4.2.1. Alternative types of tube
connecting the main hoop to the front hoop. Straight or bent ones may be
used subject to the limits shown on the next page.
4.2.2. Alternative positions for the
rear braces where they join the main hoop. Any area between the two
positions shown may be used.
4.2.3. Alternative positions for centre-bar
or diagonal which is required for open vehicles only. If two or more
centre bars are fitted, they should be evenly spaced.

4.4. The feet
spacing 'a' to 'c' should be as far apart as possible within the load
area. The smaller the angle abc at the top, the less effective are the
bracing bars.
