"NATIONAL 2010 - EXTENSION OF CLOSING DATE DUE TO DEMAND"

Due to the amount of entries to date and the continuous interest in booking places for the National 2010 at Newnham Park Plymouth, it has been agreed by the National Committee to enhance the entrant allowances to meet demand. The extension to the deadline for interested competitors will remain open until the 15th May 2010 or until the additional allowance has been filled. The camping allowances will also be expanded to meet requirements.

ALRC NATIONAL 2010 NEWS UPDATE

We hope the answer is, coming to the ALRC National Rally with Cornwall and Devon Land Rover Club. Our club is family based and we love a good party, so you know the drive down will be worth it.

Come and join us for a great long weekend with all the competitive fun of a 12 section RTV and CCV. If you've heard of, or been to our 2 day Charity Event you will know how good this competition ground is, and for the "Comper", out there is 4.5 miles of fast hard run. For the younger ones there is a Tyro and Bike Trial. The Concours Event means you can get to show off your pride and joy, win trophies for working vehicles or for that special vehicle in your life, so you don't even have to get it covered in mud!

There will be a Beer Tent open from 12 to 12 (Friday to Monday) and on-site caterers who will be in the competition grounds as well, also trade stands.

So come down and visit us, make it a holiday and visit some of the great attractions in Cornwall and Devon, like the Eden Project, the National Aquarium, Plymouths new shopping Centre, there are plenty of things to do and see. Remember, if you don't want to cook, there is a wide variety of pubs, chip shop takeaways and restaurants not far from the site, also an LPG station open all weekend and Supermarkets close by.

ALRC NATIONAL 2010 NEWS NO. 1

Cornwall and Devon Land Rover Club will be running the ALRC 2010 National Rally at Newnham Park in Plympton, Devon. This is our first information bulletin. 

All the campers, the beer tent, food, trade stands etc. will be located in the same field. We will have a few showers for those who do not have their own. 

For spectators there will be 1 RTV and 1 CCV trial section within the same field, also the Team Recovery and the Start/Finish of the Comp Safari will be able to be viewed from there. The Tyro and Bike Trial will be situated no more than 100 metres from the camping field.

All this will make next year's National Rally a really good place to be for all off road enthusiasts.

Loved ones who have come down to Devon with their keen off road partners will find lots of other attractions if not interested in the many events.

Plymouth's Hoe and Barbican, and the National Marine Aquarium are only 3 miles away.

The English Riviera (Torquay,Paignton and Brixham) are within a 25 mile drive and the world famous Eden Project is only slightly further away in another direction.

The site will be open for camping and scrutineering on Thursday 27th May, and there will be a FOLLOW ON RALLY up to and including Saturday 5th June so why not make it a real holiday and                COME ON DOWN.
